Tuition & Billing F.A.Qs

Why are we moving to a flat monthly tuition model?

To make billing simpler and more predictable for families. Rather than tuition changing based on how many lessons fall in a given month, tuition is calculated across the full 22-week semester and divided into equal monthly payments.

Some months have more lessons than others — how does that work?

Some months include three lessons, others four or five. Over the course of the semester, every student receives the same number of lessons. The monthly rate stays the same because tuition is averaged across the full semester, and major holidays are already built into the schedule.

Is tuition increasing in 2026 and what is the increase supporting ?

We’ve updated our tuition structure to a flat monthly model so pricing stays consistent throughout the year, regardless of how many weeks fall in a given month. As part of this update, some lesson tiers adjusted slightly while others decreased, but overall pricing remains very similar.

How much is the increase?

The exact monthly rate varies depending on lesson length and lesson location but rates per lesson will increase around $3

What lesson options are available?

Tuition depends on:

  • Lesson length: 20-minute, 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute lessons

  • Lesson location: teacher’s studio/on-campus or in-home

Sibling discounts are available for families with multiple students enrolled.

How will tuition be paid?

Tuition will be billed through monthly invoicing/autopay via Square. Families may choose to keep their card on file, use credit card for no extra charge or  choose a pay-in-full option for the semester.

Accepted payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers. To keep billing organized and consistent, we will be moving away from Venmo and Zelle for monthly tuition payments.

Is there a long-term commitment?

No. While tuition is structured across the semester, there is no long-term contract required. Families may cancel at any time with two weeks’ notice.

What happens if a teacher needs to cancel a lesson?

If a teacher needs to cancel, we will always make every effort to schedule a makeup lesson. In the rare case that a makeup is not possible, the missed lesson will be credited toward the following month’s tuition.

Are any lesson policies changing?

No. All existing lesson policies, including makeup lessons, remain the same. The primary changes for 2026 are related to billing structure and payment methods only.
