Rags After-School Music Program
On-Campus Private Lessons
At Rags School of Music, we bring high-quality private music education directly to school campuses.
Our after-school program offers one-on-one and group lessons in piano, voice, guitar, and songwriting, providing a convenient and safe option for busy parents and students. All scheduling and billing are handled by our team, making the process seamless from start to finish for schools and families. Every instructor holds a university degree in music, is an active professional gigging musician, and is VIRTUS certified to work with children, ensuring a trusted and inspiring learning environment.

Lessons are for 30 minutes, once a week
On-campus lessons save families time and turn after-school hours into a meaningful and personalized learning opportunity.
Rags After-School program integrates seamlessly into the after-school hours, providing one-on-one or small group instruction tailored to each student’s abilities and learning style. Students, from beginners to more advanced, are guided to explore music in a way that engages them, developing both their musical skills and creative thinking. The program is highly convenient for parents, reducing the need for transportation, while giving schools an opportunity to expand their after-school offerings and provide a higher level of music education.

Their combination of academic training and real-world professional experience, performing, composing, recording, and gigging allows them to bring current, industry-informed instruction to your campus. HOW IT WORKS
ABOUT OUR AFTER-SCHOOL PRIVATE LESSONS
1. Choose Your Lesson
Parents complete our online enrollment form with their child’s name, instrument(s) of interest, and current level of music experience. This helps us match each student with the appropriate lesson and teacher.
2. Select Your Weekly Time
Once your enrollment form is submitted, we’ll send you a scheduling calendar with the available lesson times. Simply select the day and time that works best for your child, and that time will become their weekly lesson time for the semester.
3. Start With a Complimentary Trial Lesson
Every student receives a complimentary trial lesson before the semester begins. This gives your child an opportunity to meet their teacher, experience a lesson, and make sure the program is a good fit.
4. Attend Weekly Lessons On Campus
Lessons take place on campus after school in the school’s designated music room. Students attend their weekly 30-minute private lesson at their selected day and time. Students are responsible for bringing their assigned music book and a notebook to every lesson. These materials help students stay organized and keep track of their progress and practice assignments.
5. Follow Your School’s Semester Schedule
Lesson schedules and tuition are based on each school’s individual academic calendar. School holidays, breaks, and scheduled days off are taken into consideration when determining the lesson schedule and tuition, so families do not need to make additional adjustments for those dates.
6. Perform & Celebrate Your Progress
Students have the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned at our annual summer and Christmas recitals. These special performances give students a chance to build confidence, celebrate their progress, and share their music with family and friends.

Packages available are based on lengths of lessons and the semester, broken between Spring, Summer and Fall.
